What is the difference between a Mill Generation 1 and Generation 2 heater?

All Mill heaters sold up to and including the 2016/2017 season are Generation 1 heaters.

Starting from the 17/18 season all Millheaters manufactured will be Generation 2 heaters. The design will stay the same, but the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) will be new, enabling new functionality for the WiFi heaters:

  • Calibration of the heaters via the Millheat app
  • Turn the heaters on/off via the Millheat app
  • Adding off mode in your programs
  • Adding independent heaters
  • Converting from Celsius to Fahrenheit

The Generation 2 heaters will also be compatible with WiFi protocol 80211.b/g/n, while the Generation 2 is compatible with 80211.b/g.

Take a look at this article if you are unsure if you have a Generation 1 or Generation 2 heater.

Is it a typing error in this sentence: "The Generation 2 heaters will also be compatible with WiFi protocol 80211.b/g/n, while the Generation 2 is compatible with 80211.b/g."?

    Maybe it should read:

"The Generation 2 heaters is compatible with 2.4 GHz WiFi protocols 802.11.b/g/n, while the Generation 1 is compatible with 802.11.b/g."

802.11n is both 2.4 and 5 GHz, and your gen. 2 heaters are not compatible with 5 GHz 802.11n, no?
