If your lights blink with PID control, it’s likely because the lamp and the heater are on the same circuit, and the lamp is affected by PID technology.
In essence, PID simply toggles the heater’s heat on and off, allowing for a more stable temperature instead of the large temperature swings that other heaters may exhibit.
While we haven’t been able to reproduce this issue ourselves, some users have reported that certain types of light bulbs may flicker slightly when PID control is active.
To address this, the heater has a function called “Slow PID”, which can be activated in the app under the heater’s settings. Slow PID ensures that changes in heat from the heater occur less frequently, minimizing the impact on the light.
For Slow PID to work properly, it’s essential that the “Wattage” setting in the app is not adjusted below the maximum. For example, a 1000W heater should be set to 1000W in the app.
