How do I set the day/night program (Mill Steel and Mill Glass)?

When you program the heater for either day or night setback, the setback period will be active from the time you set the program on the heater. This means that if you wish the temperature to be lowered at 7:30 am, you need to program the heater at 7:30 am.

You only need to program the heater one time for day and one time for night. If you have programmed the heater, the programs will be active on the following days:

  • Day setback function: Monday – Friday (1-5)
  • Night setback function: All nights

Example:

Let us say that you wish to program heaters for both day and night setback. You wish the following programs:

  1. Day setback function to be active from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm. Desired temperature: 17 degrees Celsius.
  2. Night setback function to be active from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. Desired temperature: 18 degrees Celsius.

Instruction for activating the day setback function:

  1. At 7:30 am go to the heater and push the SUN symbol on the heaters thermostat
  2. “d” will show in the display. Use the arrow buttons to specify what day it is when you are programming the heater (1 = Monday, 2 = Tuesday etc). You do not decide what days you want to program. You are only telling the heater what day it is when you are programming the heater. The day setback function is only active from Monday to Friday, and the heater needs to understand what day it is to be able to follow the correct routine. Confirm by pushing the function button.
  3. “C” will blink in the display. Use the arrows to select 17 as the desired setback temperature. Confirm by pushing the function button.
  4. “H” will blink in the display. Use the wheel to set the setback period to seven hours (meaning it will be active from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm. Confirm by pushing the function button.
  5. The day setback function will be active from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm Monday to Friday. Setback temperature will be 17 degrees Celsius.

Instruction for activating the night setback function:

  1. At 10 pm go to the heater and push the MOON symbol on the heaters thermostat
  2. “C” will blink in the display. Use the arrows to select 18 as the desired setback temperature. Confirm by pushing the function button.
  3. “H” will blink in the display. Use the arrows to set the setback period to eight hours (meaning it will be active from 10 pm to 6 am. Confirm by pushing the function button.
  4. The day setback function will be active from 10 pm to 6 am every day. Setback temperature will be 18 degrees Celsius.

If there is a power failure or you turn of the heater, the heater will forget the program and you need to repeat the activation procedure.
